Semana tras semana podemos observar cómo es que personas de todas las edades, en particular los jóvenes con falta de experiencia, se meten en tantos problemas y tiran sus vidas a la basura, y tristemente, no solo la de ellos, sino la de toda su familia pues cuando un miembro de la familia sufre, por lo general todos sufren.
Causa una gran tristeza, en particular la vida de muchos jóvenes que apenas están empezando a vivir, y algunos de ellos ni siquiera han cumplido sus 18 años de edad, pero ya están detrás de las rejas, enfrentando juicios de cadenas de prisión, muchas veces de por vida.
Hoy día meterse en problemas no cuesta nada, cualquiera lo puede hacer, sin embargo, salir de ellos es otra cosa muy distinta, y eso es lo que muchos jóvenes no piensan, y si realmente se pusieran a meditar en el pasillo de las consecuencias, es probable que muchos de ellos no estuvieran en los problemas que están hoy día.
Por citar un ejemplo, semanas atrás un joven que trató de escapar de la policía a alta velocidad, al final resultó en un accidente donde dos personas perdieron la vida. Esto fue algo trágico y muy doloroso, y no solo para las dos familias que perdieron sus seres queridos, sino también para la familia de este joven quien ahora enfrenta un juicio largo y de mucho dolor y sufrimiento. Sabemos que, para su familia, el tener que mirarlo detrás de las rejas por años será de gran dolor.
Aunque son dos vidas que se perdieron, son tres familias allegadas, amigos y conocidos que siguen con un dolor incalculable el cual es difícil de sobrellevar. Como medio de comunicación podemos ver una y otra vez el sufrimiento y la angustia de cada una de las familias en las salas de los tribunales mientras se trata de resolver este problema ante un juez.
En cada acto que nosotros realizamos, debemos de pensar seriamente en las consecuencias de lo que hacemos, es decir, si manejamos a alta velocidad y no respetamos las leyes de tránsito, es muy probable que tengamos un accidente y por ende las consecuencias pueden ser la muerte de uno mismo o la de otra persona, años tras las rejas, dolor y sufrimiento de nuestros padres al vernos en prisión y la lista sigue y sigue.
Es de vital importancia que pensemos en el pasillo de las consecuencias y no solo en el presente, porque al final del día, si meditamos, nos podemos arrepentir, pero tristemente en la mayoría de las ocasiones, ya sería demasiado tarde.
Con este editorial no pretendemos acusar a nadie, sino más bien tratamos de que cada joven piense muy bien en los problemas que se puede ver envuelto por no pensar en las consecuencias de sus actos. Es verdad que lo más lógico hubiera sido que el policía, al ver que este joven que no se detenía y cada vez manejaba a una velocidad más alta poniendo en peligro la vida de otros ciudadanos, debería de haber parado la persecución a fin de no poner en riesgo a otras personas. Por otra parte, todo ciudadano que es parado por un oficial, el deber es de orillarse de inmediato y respetar las ordenes de la policía, cosa que si este joven hubiera hecho, estos dos jóvenes que murieron estuvieran con vida hoy. Así como tampoco ninguna de las familias afectadas estuviera pasando este gran dolor, y este joven estuviera libre disfrutando de su juventud y su familia.
The Hall of Consequences

Week after week we can see how it is that people of all ages, particularly young people with a lack of experience, get into so much trouble and throw their lives in the trash, and sadly, not only theirs, but their families also, since when a family member suffers, usually everyone suffers.
It causes great sadness, in particular the lives of many young people who are just beginning to live, and some of them have not even turned 18, but are already behind bars, facing trials for possible prison, many times to be locked up forever.
Today, getting into trouble does not cost anything, anyone can do it, however, getting out of them is something very different, and that is what many young people do not think about, and if they really meditated in the hall of consequences, it is likely that many of them would not be in the problems that they are in today.
To give an example, weeks ago a young man who tried to escape from the police at high speed, in the end resulted in an accident where two people lost their lives. This was tragic and very painful, not only for the two families who lost their loved ones, but also for the family of this young man who now faces a long trial and much pain and suffering. We know that for his family, having to see him behind the bars for years will bring great pain.
Although two lives were lost, there are three close families, friends and acquaintances, who continue with incalculable pain which is difficult to cope with. As a communication media, we can see, again and again, the suffering and anguish of each of these families in the courtrooms while trying to solve this problem before a judge.
In every act that we do, we must think seriously about the consequences of what we do, i.e., if we drive at high speed and do not respect the traffic laws, it is very likely that we will have an accident and therefore, the consequences may be the death of oneself or of another person, years behind bars, the pain and suffering of our parents when they see us in prison, and the list goes on and on.
It is vitally important that we think of the hall of consequences and not only in the present, because at the end of the day, if we think about it, we may regret it, but sadly in most cases, it is too late.
With this editorial we do not pretend to accuse anyone, but rather we try to have each young person think very closely about the problems in which they can be involved in when not thinking about the consequences of their actions. It is true that the most logical thing would have been for that policeman, when seeing that this young man, who did not stop, was driving at a high speed endangering the lives of other citizens, should have stopped the persecution in order not to put other people at risk. On the other hand, every citizen who is stopped by an officer, their duty is to immediately pull over and respect the orders of the police, something that if this young man would have done, the two young people who died would be alive today. Then neither of these two families affected would be going through this great pain, and this young man would be free enjoying his youth and his family.
