Perro que ladra no muerde, un refrán muy conocido en español, el cual, generalmente tiene mucha razón, pues si nos ponemos a pensar todo lo que dijo Donald Trump en su campaña, fue, más que nada, para ganar los oídos y ojos de las masas y sin duda, una estrategia muy bien pensada pues quién iba decir que hoy día sería presidente de los Estados Unidos, una cosa que ni el creía, pero aquí está.
Algunos medios de comunicación amarillistas, la semana pasada se atrevieron a escribir y afirmaron que los agentes de inmigración saldrían a las calles para arrestar a cuanta gente es indocumentada, cosa que es más que falso, pues el presidente, apenas unos días, afirmó que su prioridad no es deportar a los Dreamers ni a los indocumentados que estén haciendo el bien y contribuyendo al crecimiento de esta nación, sino más bien a los criminales.
De parte de la casa editorial de El Informador, invitamos a todos nuestros lectores a que no se dejen llevar por personas sin escrúpulos que escriben y solo quieren sembrar el miedo a nuestra comunidad, pues la realidad es que, aunque es muy pronto para predecir lo que Trump hará, pero sí está claro que su manera de actuar y ver las cosas en contra de los inmigrantes no es tan mala como algunos escriben y la pintan.
Ya en el pasado escribimos sobre la posibilidad de que muchos de nosotros nos podemos llevar la sorpresa del año 2017. Tal como nadie esperaba que Trump llegara a ser presidente, es muy probable que sea él que lleve a cabo una amnistía a favor de los inmigrantes.
Es verdad que Trump acaba de tomar medidas drásticas donde pronto se comenzará a construir el muro y se implementarán más agentes de inmigración para reforzar la frontera y parar el flujo de que más personas sigan cruzando la frontera de manera ilegal. Esta es una medida que quizás solo le miremos el lado malo, pero recordemos que para que se lleve a cabo una amnistía, el primer paso que se tiene que dar es ese – el parar que más gente entre de manera ilegal al país. Así que, al final del túnel oscuro que estamos viendo, es posible que podamos ver la luz y llegue una amnistía a favor de los inmigrantes que están el país, los que han demostrado ser buenos ciudadanos y cumplan con los requisitos que se requerirán.
No olvidemos que en marzo del 2016 se cumplieron 30 años desde que el presidente Ronald Reagan aprobó la amnistía cuando casi 3 millones de indocumentados, la mayoría mexicanos, se hicieron residentes de los Estados Unidos.
Lo interesante fue que el presidente Ronald Reagan, quien aprobó la amnistía, era un republicano. Todo el mundo estaba esperando que en su primer día Donald Trump eliminara el DACA, lo que dejaría en el aire alrededor de 750,000 jóvenes. Y de nuevo algunos editores de otros medios se atrevieron a escribir y hasta afirmaron que sería lo primero que él haría, pero la realidad es que eso no ha pasado, y eso solo nos hace pensar que no son medios de credibilidad.
El record de votaciones indica que más latinos que nunca salieron a votar, pero la sorpresa fue que muchos lo hicieron a favor de Trump, mostrando así que ya estaban cansados de esperar una mejora sobre cuestiones de inmigración. Eso lo sabe muy bien el nuevo presidente, y por lo que vemos, en solo días cosas buenas pueden venir a favor de los inmigrantes.
Lo que nos queda es comportarnos como buenos ciudadanos y hacer el bien en lo más que esté a nuestro alcance, pues el meterse en problemas con la ley, en particular quien carece de documentos en regla para estar en este país, es bien sabido que Trump no se tentará el alma para deportar a tales personas.
Será muy interesante esperar por lo que vaya a hacer Trump en sus primeras semanas en la Casa Blanca. El pánico ha cubierto las calles por temor de muchos ser deportados, más, sin embargo, es probable que, tal como ganó las elecciones y nadie lo esperaba, siendo una gran sorpresa para muchos, no nos sorprenda que Trump, como republicano, lleve a cabo una amnistía logrando así que los Republicanos se queden en el poder por el resto de los años.
La realidad es que muchos se están precipitando y tomando decisiones apresuradas, lo cual no es bueno pues muchas de las cosas que habló y prometió en su campaña, Trump, fue más que nada un gancho para ganar las masas y sus votos, cosa que le resultó muy bien, porque al final de la recta, Hillarie quedó muy lejos detrás del magnate.
Por ahora solo nos queda esperar y ver qué es lo que pasará en los próximos meses, pero no nos sorprenda que, tal como nos sorprendió que él ganó, también nos sorprenda con grandes cambios, entre ellos una amnistía a favor de la gente que ha luchado en este país y que ha contribuido al crecimiento de esta nación.
Eso sí, los que tienen un record criminal, más vale que vayan pensando dos veces seguir aquí, pues él ya prometió que serán los primeros en la lista de ser deportados.
An amnesty for immigrants is possible

A dog that is barking does not bite, a well-known saying in Spanish, which, generally is very correct, because, if we think about everything that Donald Trump said in his campaign, it was, more than anything, to win the ears and eyes of the masses and undoubtedly, a very well thought-out strategy. Who would say that today he would be the president of the United States, something that even he did not believe, but here it is.
Last week, some sensationalist tabloids dared to write and say that immigration officers would go out into the streets to arrest all the people who are undocumented, which is more than false, because the president, in the last few days, said that his priority is not to deport Dreamers or undocumented people who are doing good and contributing to the growth of this nation, but rather, criminals.
On the part of the publisher of El Informador, we warn all our readers not to be carried away by unscrupulous people who write “the sky is falling” and only want to spread fear in our community, because the reality is that, although it is too early to predict what Trump will do, it is clear that his way of acting and seeing things against immigrants, is not as bad as some write and depict.
In the past we have written about the possibility that many of us can have the surprise of the year in 2017. As no one expected Trump to become president, it is very likely that he will carry out an amnesty in favor of immigrants.
It is true that Trump has just taken drastic measures where the wall will soon be built and more immigration agents will be deployed to reinforce the border and stop the flow of more people crossing the border illegally. This is a measure that we may only look at the bad side, but remember that for an amnesty to be carried out, the first step that has to be taken is that – stopping more people from illegally entering the country. So, at the end of the dark tunnel it is possible that we can see the light, and an amnesty arrive in favor of the immigrants who are in the country, those who have proven to be good citizens and meet the requirements that would be required.

What we have left to do is to behave like good citizens and do good in whatever is within our reach, for getting in trouble with the law, particularly who lack documents in order to be in this country. It is well known that Trump will not tempt his soul to deport such people.
It will be very interesting to wait to see what Trump will do in his first weeks at the White House. Panic has covered the streets for fear of many being deported, yet, it is likely that, just as he won the election and no one expected it, being a big surprise to many, also let’s not be surprised that Trump, as a Republican, would be able to grant an amnesty, thus getting the Republicans to stay in power for many years.
The reality is that many are rushing in and making rash decisions, which is not good, as many of the things he said and promised in his campaign, Trump, was mainly to win the masses and their votes, which proved very good, because, at the end of the race, Hillarie was far behind the tycoon.
For now, we only have to wait and see what will happen in the coming months, but do not be surprised that, as we were surprised that he won, also surprise us with great changes, including an amnesty in favor of people who have fought in this country and have contributed to the growth of this nation.
Of course, those who have a criminal record better think twice about remaining here, because he has already promised that they will be the first on the list to be deported.
